I came here because they were only a few blocks from my house and were certified through USAA after my car was struck at work. The car had a pretty nasty dent and multiple scratches. I was a bit nervous about their ability to get it back to normal, but it honestly looks completely brand new. The colors matched perfectly and I was told that it has a lifetime guarantee, in case they start to fade at a different rate from the rest of the car. While they were fixing my car, someone appeared to have broken the cover for my cup holder in the front seat. Although I couldn't prove it wasn't already broken, they immediately took responsibility, ordered an entirely new cup holder, and replaced that as well. I was very happy with the work they did and will be going here in the future for body work.

Yesterday someone hit my front bumper and scratched it up at the parking lot at work. Of course, they didn't leave a note taking responsibility or apologizing. Needless to say, I was upset. Because I take pride in the cars I own, and because my car will be going to my daughter when she graduates, having scratches and dents aren't acceptable. Anyway, I saw excellent reviews for Old Town Auto Body, and set up an appointment today so I could get an estimate for the repair. Irwin, a Collision Estimator, looked at the car. He asked if he could "give it a try" and make a minor repair, rather than a full one and see -- repainting the entire front bumper. I said, sure, give it a try. Less than a minute later, the scratches were all gone, and he said "it was on the house." I gotta' tell you, I was shocked, overjoyed, and I almost hugged him! I asked him if I could get him a cup of coffee, or something, showing my appreciation. Instead, he said to give him a good review on Yelp. Well, here it is. I'm so grateful and happy! He didn't have to do this, but he did, because he knows that I'll return, and refer others to him and his shop. Thanks Irwin and Old Town Auto Body! I'll be back!

I will start by saying this is my first Yelp review. I've long realized it would take a lot of muscle for a business to motivate me to write, but I am fortunate that Old Town Auto Body and Paint can be my first. This morning, while leisurely listening to the Kane Show on my foggy drive to work and lusting for my first cup of coffee, a black Passat crossed one lane of Route 50 to cut in front of me on the Rosslyn on ramp. Wailing on my horn, I braced for impact. The driver grazed my driver's side quarter panel, but I did not hear the telltale "crunch" sound of something more serious. I stopped at the next stoplight to survey the potential damage. In the early morning darkness, I surveyed the potential injury that may have befallen my beloved Audi. I saw none, but noted the Passat's plate number, just in case I spotted a knick under improved lighting. In my mind, I will always remember the Passat's University of Maryland alumni vanity license plate and the reckless driver who came with them. "Fear the turtle" indeed. 5 minutes later, I arrived at my office and realized I was interested in obtaining an automotive sanity check for the very minor scuff on the driver's side wheel well I noticed under the garage's florescent lighting. My hunch was that the streak buff out, and that my brave little station wagon had not sustained any frame or lighting damage. I called Old Town Auto Body and Paint for an estimate. They scheduled me for a lunch time appointment today. I made my way to their Fayette Street. I was 10 minutes early, but Irwin was available, and kindly answered my novice questions without condescension. I asked for confirmation of my understanding, that the incident from the morning had resulted in very, very minor cosmetic damage, but that there was no damage to the frame or the driver's side light. He confirmed my layman's opinion and suggested a wet sand to buff the small scuffs out. If my schedule allowed, he stated, the shop could complete the task in 10 to 15 minutes while I was there. He and Mike patiently answered my questions as the buffing occurred. I braced myself for this auto shop to nickel and dime me. After all, the industry does possess that worn out stereotype. Instead, I was fortunate to receive the best of care. In conclusion, I would like to extend my thanks to Mike and to Irwin for their patience and their timely assistance today. They both went above and beyond for me, providing peace of mind after my "Passat Encounter of the Third Kind" from this morning. Mike and Irwin, thanks again for everything you did for me today.

I've been in more than a few times for flat fixes. They have always been very professional and taken good care of my vehicle. The service is fast and reliable. Again I've only been in for flat fixes.

Holy negative reviews! I first came here because I moved to Alexandria, and needed to get my car inspected. We originally moved to Silver Spring from ATL, and when I took my car to get inspected in Maryland, they found 1,000 things wrong with my car. Yes, my car is an older car (2001). But, it's also a Honda Accord in excellent condition. I had new tires, and the Maryland inspector said I needed new tires. Seriously!?!? It worked out because we ended up breaking our lease, and moving to Virginia where it's greater! Anyways, I prepared myself for these guys to say I needed 1,001 things fixed with my Honda, and to my surprise as well as satisfaction- I got my inspection sticker and emissions certificate a mere 30 minutes of pulling in. I've been there two years since, and never have the worry and heartache about getting my car inspected. Plus, the inspection never takes more than 30 minutes of my time. They told me it's a great car, and to hold onto it. We just bought a new car, and I made sure to ask him were we making a smart purchase since it's not a Honda (we wanted something a bit better in the snow!) I didn't know they do oil changes, and the whole nine yards, but now we will be bringing BOTH our cars to Old Town Auto!

Courteous, professional and communicative; wanted to start my review with some appropriately descriptive words of my extremely positive service experience at this first rate repair shop. Got rear ended on the George Wash Pkwy on the way to work, called my insurance company, USAA, they advised me of this body shop which is right across the street from my condo, talk about convenient! Patrick called me as I was driving to the shop and was waiting for me when I got there! An hour after my collision, my car was in the shop and my insurance company had everything coordinated for seem less service. Monday morning the shop calls to tell me all the work is done! I'm amazed since it was a bad rear ender and the entire bumper and under support had to be replaced on my Beemer, they got the parts in, painted and installed in less than a week! And all along the way they kept me informed and updated on the progress of work. Great outcome and service!

I'm moving to Chicago in a week, but having used Old Towne twice for two relatively major car issues, I had to write a review to let everyone know how great they are. My first issue was a somewhat major fender bender - I was rear-ended, and had to have a lot of reconstructive body work. They provided the work early and beautifully - kept me updated on how everything was going, and were generally just amazing. I can't say enough about the body shop - they are the best of the best. The second issue didn't end as beautifully for me, but that's through not fault of theirs. My Honda CR-V blew out the A/C compressor, and lost a fan belt, then everything kind of followed suit. They did everything they could to keep the cost down, but when they failed in the end, they even helped me find someone to buy the car on salvage - and drove it around the corner to my apartment because the power steering had failed. They're great people, and deserve their many praises. I'm very sad to leave them for the Windy City.

Olde Towne may charge a little bit more than say, Pep Boys, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I brought my car in to repair damage after a fender bender, and not only did they finish ahead of schedule, they went above and beyond to make my car look amazing. One of my headlights was damaged from a previous incident, and I'd bought a new light to replace on my own, but hadn't gotten around to it yet. They put it in for me free of charge. Also, my repair required painting on the hood and front bumpers. There was white paint scratches on my back bumper from another previous incident, and they buffed that out for me as well (again, free of charge). Not only did they wash my car before returning it, they actually cleaned the wheels and hubcaps so they looked like new. The inside of my car was also completely vacuumed and wiped down, steering wheel and all. My car looked brand new when they gave it back to me, which is saying a lot because it was pretty banged up when I brought it in! I would absolutely bring my car here again.
